Christian Lindke's Cinerati: Warhammer 40K Movie -- ULTRAMARINE ...

Games Workshop's various Warhammer Universes are some of the narratively richest game worlds ever constructed, and it is fine time that one of those universes received a compelling film. If only producers would trust the property beyond the direct to dvd market. Not that I'm complaining. This looks awesome. But I'd love to see 40k on the big screen.

Gamer Quest: A Foray Into Competitive Gaming
19.05.10
Many games creators like to foster a sense of community through the use of sponsored tournaments. From video game publishers, to board game championships, and so much more, tournament events are a great way to meet new players, learn new strategies, and test your skills. Don’t be fooled though, gaming on a competitive level can have many draw backs depending on who you ask.
There are always horror stories of the sore loser, the rule book quoter, and of course…the cheater, that tarnish these events, and seem, to some, to undermine the whole purpose of play games… having fun! Then there are others that say you aren’t really having fun unless you are winning and you can’t count a win unless it is some sort of ranked game. Personally, I have always been of the mindset that I could never reach a skill level to game competitively, let alone to try to go pro and live off tournament winnings. While I think most people who have played any variety of games have at some point thought to themselves that being a pro gamer would be the greatest job in the world, there clearly must be a reason more people don’t attempt this “profession”. I decided recently that I would try to do a bit of first hand research, Dirty Jobs style, and find out just what it is that keeps so many people out of the competitive gaming circuit.
